Who We Are
The International Political Economy Society (IPES) provides an annual forum for scholars of IPE to present their best new work in progress to an informed and critical scholarly audience. The annual conference is centered on a small number (approximately 75 each year) of selected papers.
IPES is currently hosted by Yale University.

Best New Paper
The David A. Lake Award for Best Paper of 2022 was presented in October at the 2023 IPES conference to Theo Serlin for “The Export Boom and the Backlash: Reactions to Positive Economic Change in First World War America.”

Best Dataset Award
Axel Dreher, Andreas Fuchs, Brad Parks, Austin Strange, and Mike Tierney received the 2023 Best Dataset Award in October for AidData's Global Chinese Official Finance Dataset.
